Job Description-Manager of Individual Giving

Job Purpose

Girl Scouts of Utah is seeking a Manager of Individual Giving to work closely and collaborate with the Vice President of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships to cultivate and expand the Individual Giving program, including: Major Gifts, Annual Appeal, Workplace Giving, Community Giving, and Planned Giving. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills. A thorough understanding of stewardship and donor cultivation is critical.


  • Work closely with Philanthropy team to execute fundraising strategy, specifically in the area of Individual giving
  • Provide reporting and analysis for VP of Philanthropy as it relates to fundraising progress against goals and objectives
  • Partner with VP of Philanthropy to develop high-level annual outreach plan, outlining timing and type of outreach for each funder
  • Recommend and plan specific cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities as it relates to plan of work
  • Collaborate with various department heads to support and ensure growth in all fundraising efforts
  • Assist VP of Philanthropy in building the monthly giving campaign and program
  • Collaborate in the creation and maintenance of donor relations programs


  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in non-profit development and fundraising
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge or other fundraising database system preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in Major Giving, Planned Giving, or Annual Appeals preferred
  • An understanding of and dedication to the mission of Girl Scouts and an ability to articulate the same
  • Previous experience with volunteer boards is highly desired
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
